She didn’t think Makoto was the kind of girl to be into roses and flower language, sure, because she’s just so proper and ladylike all the time (except for as Queen— ironically enough). But the enthused way she explains is just so fitting. She gets this bright cadence to her voice that reminds Ann of lilies or sunflowers and is so different from her usual stern, commanding alto.
“You’re actually really cute,” Ann says, watching the way Makoto turns the ring over in her hands.
… which is evidently the absolute wrong thing to say, because Makoto looks like she’s just been shot.

Three would like to make one thing clear: she did not instigate the fistfight. Never, in her 16 suspensions from Turf War, has she ever tried to attack another player with anything other than the weapon in her hands. A head tap here and there with the butt of her Splattershot when she was out of ink, sure, but she’s not the type to escalate into full-on brawling just because she’s feeling cornered.
All that to say, the scramble itself? Not her fault.
(The underlying reason why it devolved into fisticuffs in the first place is, admittedly, a different matter entirely.)
