The wine tasted bittersweet. It was tainted, Lexa thought. Not from the grapes, but from the memories. Memories of being drunk and in love at age seventeen, taking turns swigging from a bottle on your fire escape at 2 am.

"She finally, finally, takes in the sight of the woman standing in-front of her and the rest of her furious words die in the back of her throat because oh, oh, no-one should look like that. Tall and blonde and so very gorgeous, barely in her mid-twenties with sparkling apologetic eyes, a pair of sinfully tight black jeans on her hips and a sleeveless t-shirt to show off the muscle in those arms that had caught Cat so quickly." AKA the hot neighbour AU that no-one asked for or needed.

Summary
A little over thirteen years after the Hail Mary launch, Eva Stratt is released from prison to assist the world’s bickering space agencies after a junior NASA technician spots an unidentified object near the orbit of Neptune. It appears to be on a direct collision course with Earth, and is moving so quickly it does not appear to be affected by any local gravitational forces, not even that of Sol. Oh, and one more thing—it seems to be slowing down.
OR
Captain Dr. Ryland Grace pilots the Hail Mary home long before (and long, long after) its mission is supposed to be complete. In their desperate venture beyond their solar system, humanity may have just accidentally unlocked a new chapter in interstellar physics.

Summary
title shortened from: 'Sharks just want to play, experienced sailors fear the jellyfish'
In the canon universe we know, Eva Stratt and Ryland Grace would never be able to have more than what they did: a fleeting friendship, brushing the surface of what they *could* be but never dipping deeper. Stratt had a job to do. Grace had a world to save.
Here, however, meeting years earlier and in a universe where the sun will never dim, things go a little differently.

Domestic fluff, years worth of waiting, two souls that just connect, even if they could never explain quite how, A shark and a jellyfish, bobbing their way through the ocean.

Summary
“Shut it, Abby, you’re gonna wake him up!”
Grace buries his head deeper into the crook of his elbow, desperate to get a few more minutes of sleep, the movement eliciting the noise of giggling from the room around him. His brain doesn’t register anything strange about the sound, until he remembers that he’s supposed to be in the middle of space. Space, where Grace should be completely alone, and Rocky should be well on his way back to Erid.
He jolts upright, suddenly far more awake. The quiet giggling erupts into full blown laughter, and Grace suddenly realises that he’s in his classroom, and the students laughing at him are the same ones he last taught fifteen years ago.
Son of a biscuit.
He’s on Earth again.
Or
Ryland Grace gets sent back in time and finds that getting launched into space is a lot harder when you aren’t being dragged there against your will.
