    The world goes dark, save for the center of his vision. Like a spotlight’s been cast on him, Prince Tenma Tsukasa gets down on one knee in front of him. The very image of loyalty, devotion, his right hand holding onto his sword at his side, blue cape spread out behind like a glittering night sky. He smiles at him like Rui’s hung the moon.

    Rui smiles back but it doesn’t quite reach his eyes the way Tsukasa’s does, for one good reason.

    Because there, on Tsukasa’s left hand that he’s held over his heart, is a gold ring, just like Rui’s.

    Or: When searching for another fragment SEKAI, Rui ends up in one where he’s the palace sorcerer, betrothed to none other than Prince Tenma Tsukasa.
