Summary
Syngorn had always felt like a cage to Vax. Cramped and threatening, with the sense that there was an entire world outside that he was only allowed to see a small portion of. A bird cage that he and his sister were both shoved into.
Looking back on it all, it was almost funny, in a bittersweet sort of way.
Or, the one where Vax reflects on what it means to have been caged for so long when he's a free bird in every sense of the meaning now.
