Summary
The nature of the Ten Shadows Technique seem to be simple and straightforward. Make a hand shadow puppet of an animal, and said animal spawns and takes form from the shadow casted. But have we ever thought about the deeper implications of it? Why can you only summon ten specific beings when there's tens of hundreds, and possibly even thousands of other shadow hand puppets one can make? What about the strange ritual of needing to summon the creature to tame it before being able to use it? And how about the strange relationship between the shadow realm and sorcery itself?
The Zenin's, though the most knowledgeable in the literal darker parts of curses and sorcery, are just as lost as the rest of them when it comes to that. And Toji's about to make sure what he's uncovered will never reach Zenin ears. Which isn't too hard considering his first failed kill in Gojo Satoru made sure it was his last.

We all know the story. After many tragedies in his highschool life, Nanami Kento left the sorcerous world for 3 to 4 years to live as a normal person. He then came back with a renewed vigor and understanding of sorcery and what it means to be a sorcerer in his soul-sucking time away from it.
But, what if his 3 to 4 year sabbatical went... a little bit differently? And what if the world of JJK, was a little bit bigger?
With multiple new variables and new pieces at play, all of which revolve around Nanami Kento and his mysterious family and disappearance, how will these things change the jujutsu world?

How the dynamic changes again as the battle all comes to a end, finally for his adopted children, including Megumi, who has survivor's guilt.
What if, in the wake of it all, Nanami is abruptly awakened and now facing the very person he'd lost three years prior, perfect and intact, and just as confused and guarded as he is.

“I don't.” He denies it, like hiding away the cigarette pack will make his words any less of a lie.

“You’ve got so many knots tonight, Kento,” Yu commented, and though Kento couldn’t see him, he was sure Yu was frowning. “You gotta tell me when it starts to get this bad, okay?”
“I didn’t want to worry you.”
I didn’t want to bother you.
“You’re my best friend, Kento. I’m always gonna worry about you,” Yu replied easily, pushing into his muscles even harder and damn, that felt amazing; Yu really was good at giving massages. “I don’t like seeing you in pain.”
Kento sucked in a breath, then coughed, trying to play it off as a tic. How was Yu able to be so open with him? How was he able to share what’s in his heart? Hell, Kento can’t even say I love you. He has to rely on don't be stupid and be careful to get the message across.
Sometimes, he wished he were more like Yu.
So, Kento passed him another orange.
