Summary
5 Years ago, within the heart of Balder’s Gate, citizens had started going missing, some seeming to vanish in thin air. Some citizens reported shadowy individuals following them around the city, only to vanish themselves not too long after reporting. Detective Rhapsody was put on the case as a last chance scenario. She managed to recruit an unlikely team to uncover the secrets and expose the underground cult of the Absolute. After a massive battle, they came out victorious and were dubbed heroes of the City! Time had passed, paths had differed and changed, while some remained the same. Now Lead Detective Rhapsody, has had her hands full with a series of thefts and petty crime, along with ever rising reports of a new addictive drug on the streets turning people into mindless beasts temporarily. If she thought she had her hands full before, she was clearly mistaken now. On top of it all, the headaches had returned, nightmares and blackouts that had once been silenced by the Tadpole now back with a fiery vengeance. Things would have been somewhat manageable if it had remained that way… if people hadn’t started to go missing once more. And the cell the Absolute had been left to rot in now mysteriously vacant…
