Limits that here, trapped in this weapon specifically made to exploit his angelic power, are finally pushed past.

Summary
In the aftermath of the Final Extermination, Lucifer attempts to settle into the Hazbin Hotel and his place in Charlie's life, helping her as much as he possibly can, while simultaneously managing what he hopes to be the tail end of his most recent decade long depressive episode.
He should probably be a bit more worried that the Radio Demon manages to bear witness to just about every single one of his panic attacks. At least Alastor doesn't seem to glean any entertainment from kicking him while he is already down. Which really, if you think about it, is surprisingly considerate of him...
And on top of all of that stuff just. Keeps. Happening.

They are reaching their limits when Stephen Strange comes upon a peculiar piece of forbidden magic. A spell binding two souls, granting them magic power beyond any a human could ever achieve alone. However that is not the only effect a spell like this has, and that is not it's only purpose in magic culture and tradition...Ah, but I am getting ahead of myself.
I am the Watcher, and this story warrants observing in detail.-----------

After recent events, Stephen has become used to being recognised on the streets of New York.
Unfortunately, he is also used to running his mouth faster than he thinks; so when a reporter is prodding him on his dating life while he is out with America, he is not at all surprised when he hears himself giving the worst possible answer to get her off his back: "I'm married."
He is surprised however, when Wong plays along with it. Very enthusiastically so.

Being the Sorcerer Supreme is a lot of work. That's no surprise though and after more than five years of doing it Wong is more than used to barely ever sleeping at night. Sleep is optional anyway, right?
Wrong. Now Stephen is back and America brings the very concerning matter to his attention. Time for them to execute their three phase master plan to make Wong take a nap.

Every time Stephen stops by the Sanctum for less than maybe half an hour, he looks worse.
Every time, Stephen completely ignores Wong's warnings to take a break before he gets seriously injured, or worse, gets himself killed.
