However, all of these tasks are made more difficult when a mysterious graffito starts trailing after them in Jamrock. Is it a Sign? A warning? A threat? Then, a shadow from Cuno's past reemerges. Summary
"No... this is… No, you're fucking with me."
"Detective please–"
"Kim, he's fucking with us!” He says, turning to snap at the bespectacled man, “Alright Jean, you've made your point," He whirls back on Jean, eyes wild, gripping him harshly by the shoulder. Jean hisses at the contact, tensing.
The man continues, unrelenting, "I get it. 'Oh not so fun, when the shoe's on the other foot, huh?' You're right, Vic, I'm sorry. Can you please cut it out now?" His knuckles are white where his fist is buried in Jean's shoulder. Jean lets out a small whimper of pain, eyes wide in fear and confusion.
"Detective, enough," The bespectacled man–Kim–says, forcibly extricating him from Jean's side and pushing past him, "I don't think he's lying," he says solemnly.

Summary
“Are you two the last ones out?” He asks.
“Should be,” Kim answers in his stead. Jean gives him a curt nod of gratitude.
“Great, you two can go on ahead then, we'll be right behind you. Just wanna make sure nothing important gets left behind.” There was always the chance someone left sensitive documents, or a whole gallon of fuel, maybe even a spare generator behind—and those are the kind of losses that add up.
Before he can move past them, Harry grabs his shoulder, a faraway look in his eye. “Don't stick around too long,” he says, eyes still clouded.
Jean tries to search Harry's face for an explanation, but his features aren't very forthcoming. “Harry what–”
As if snapping back to reality, Harry squeezes his shoulder even tighter. His face, now tight and drawn, expresses only concern, “I've got a bad feeling.” He says, like it's an explanation.
---
When Harry, Jean, and Kim get caught up in an attack by the Moralintern, difficult decisions are made—and the consequences are devastating for all.

Summary
Most people are elastic. With little push and pull they stretch. They do as they're willed then bounce back. This flexibility grants them second chances. Like letting yourself fall when you slip down a mountainside: if you don't resist you won't be hurt as badly.
You are rubber. Firm and strong. You know exactly who you are. You insulate. You do not bend to the whims of others. You are rigid. One day you will break.
He is other. Something else. He is something that cannot be defined in simple, man-made, terms. He is esoteric and fluid. He is both the insects you feel in the hairs on your legs, after bad night terrors, and the arms holding you as your shaking stops. He will be what breaks you.
Let it be in a way that renders you flexible.
