Summary
Newly appointed to the rank of Wingleader, Xaden Riorson only has one goal for his third and final year at Basgiath: Get all the marked ones bonded and graduated so they might stand a fighting chance against the true evil lurking at Navarre’s borders. The only problem is that Violet Sorrengail, his enemy’s youngest daughter, has also joined the Rider’s Quadrant this year. He doesn’t know why she’s here, what her plans are, or if he can trust her. All he knows is that he can’t seem to stay away.
This is a rewrite of my previous fic “The Wingleader – Xaden’s POV”. It’s a Fourth Wing retelling from Xaden’s POV with new Iron Flame updates. It follows the dialogue and chapter timeline from Fourth Wing with my own interpretations and theories of Xaden’s actions and feelings.
Do not read if you haven’t finished both FW AND IF - major spoilers from BOTH books throughout!

Fourth Wing from Xaden Riorson's POV. Written after release of Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, AND Onyx Storm. (Spoilers!)
A retelling of Fourth Wing from Xaden Riorson’s point of view with all the knowledge we have to date (in other words, through Onyx Storm). Honestly, I think the best way to read my posts is by reading the concurring Chapter in Fourth Wing first. A lot of the dialogue is canon Fourth Wing, but I have added a view of Xaden concurring with Violet's timeline in the book, so we see him outside the bounds of what Violet does and hopefully (if I'm doing a good job) we will have insights into Xaden's actions in Fourth Wing.
Thank you to Queen Rebecca Yarros for inspiring me to want this version of the story for myself. All characters and true canon belong to her.

Summary
Two events take place on the same fatidic evening of June 1916.
One, Dream of the Endless goes into the Waking world searching for a wayward nightmare and ends up captured by a magic patrictioner called Roderick Burgess.
Two, Robert Gadling wakes up to a stake in his chest courtesy of the descendant of a certain Lady who once tried to kidnap him (and his Stranger too).
Both events prove life changing.
