Fulfilling his grandpa's wishes for him to spend some time in Japan, James takes his university's opportunity to spend his sophomore year in a partner school in Tokyo. There, he finds a loner in a few of his classes who he is determined to make at least one friend for. Even if he's weirdly annoying and persistent on 'not needing friends'.

James had never tried picking up a guy before. He’d been with guys before, but they were usually the ones to approach him. He was brave last night, though, he walked up to a cute guy and flirted a bit and got his number. It was exhilarating! But was it too early to call? It had only been twelve hours, was that considered too early? He actually liked this guy, if he called too early would it feel like a hookup? Would he seem too desperate?
Keith had been doing this job for six months, it was easy cash and flexible work hours. Sure, it was commission based, so income wasn’t always guaranteed but it was a good side gig to have if he didn’t have a shift scheduled. It sure beat door dash or some similar delivery job. He could do this job at home, in his bed, he could do other things at the exact same time.

It had been about half a deca-phoeb since Keith had been transferred from the main Galra cruiser to the prince’s ship. It was called a ‘transfer’ but Keith saw it more as a demotion for being such a pain to deal with. Being stuck as the bratty prince’s servant was well below his skill level. He was a trained Galra soldier, one of the best if measured by pure skill alone instead of blind obedience. But now here he was with many other half-blood Galra soldiers: Lotor’s favourite kind apparently considering his entire team was filled with them.
