Summary
Grian huffs playfully, takes a bite out of the tender meat in his plate. "I don't find you that interesting." He lies through his teeth.
A smile spreads across Scar's face, "I'm sure you will. Soon enough." He chuckles, the hint of a promise in his voice.
Grian's new coworker is quite a weird fellow—not that he knows anyone who's considered normal—and yet, something about Scar chimes the alarm bells in Grian's brain.
There's always something off about him: something off about his smile, something off about the way he keeps chasing after Grian, something off about his enthusiasm with a special serial killer on the loose.
And despite all the warnings looping through his brain like a broken record, despite the tension in his muscles and sense of pure, unfiltered danger whenever he's around with Scar—Grian does possibly the dumbest, most stupid thing he's ever done: get close to someone he never should've met.

Scar has transferred to start his second year at Hermiton University of Craft and Engineering in London, ready to leave America behind. What he doesn’t expect is to recognise one of his fellow students from his flight –Grian, and his adorable cat.
Grian is back in England after a decade in the States, settling into business classes and hiding his cat in a dorm he technically shouldn’t have. Seeing his friends again is a breath of fresh air and meeting an attractive dude on his flight that happens to be attending the same university him was certainly a bonus.
With Scar adapting to the differences between America and England, and Grian finally feeling at home after ten years, the two grow close.
But not everything can be a fairy tale.
