It had been twenty-eight days, nearly a month of them, her team and Jaune, settling into Vacuo, twenty-eight days to get filled in on what they had missed, to reunite with friends she hadn’t seen since Beacon even, a chance to properly heal after Atlas. Nearly a month, and she hadn’t been able to talk to Jaune properly since that moment between them.
And it was starting to form a rift between them.
Ruby wouldn’t let that continue any longer, she just couldn’t.
