Summary
Inspired by the cutscene where Thrall convinces Anduin to stop hiding and come back to help Azeroth. As I wrote this, I remembered the first five lines of an old poem called "The Hound of Heaven" by Francis Thompson and felt that it resonated with Anduin's experience in the story:
I fled Him, down the nights and down the days;
I fled Him, down the arches of the years;
I fled Him, down the labyrinthine ways
Of my own mind; and in the mist of tears

Summary
Mathias Shaw has gone to the Maw to hunt for Anduin, leaving Flynn behind. After a week of silence, SI:7's acting Spymaster, Renzik, gives the Captain supplies and maps and a pass that instructs the death knights in charge of the waygate to send the Captain to Oribos.
And thereby hangs a tale about what Flynn was doing while waiting for Mathias.
Reasonably canon compliant.

Like everybody else, I saw the scene between Khadgar and Kalecgos and thought... yeah, you know where my mind went with that one. And then my mind supplied details about Jaina and Kalecgos' sex life (good golly, Miss Molly!)

Summary
When Anduin Wrynn has a chance encounter with The Ebon Watcher while escaping the consequences of a catastrophic visit to the front lines of the Alliance's forward command in the Arathi Highlands, he has no idea this meeting will alter the course of his decisions years later.
When Anduin Wrynn is finally free of the Jailer's control, he thinks back on who could possibly understand all he's been through and makes a very different choice in whom to confide.
Darion Mograine, for his part, is not doing anything to make things less unnecessarily dramatic; although babysitting royalty is at least less of a novelty the second time around.
