Summary

When James Potter lands on Regulus Black, the rules are simple: kiss him or take the forfeit. James has no intention of refusing. The only problem is that drunk Regulus is nothing like sober Regulus—and once James starts kissing him, neither of them seems interested in stopping.
As the game descends into complete chaos, Sirius questions every decision that led to this moment, the rest of the room loses their collective mind, and the bottle quietly proves it has excellent taste.

Summary

"He made a horcrux," Arcturus said with veiled disdain, "Vile as that is, it is not the reason we are intervening."
The boy raised an eyebrow, barely concealed disbelief on his face. "How did you put in again? What could a half-blood pretender of insignificant heritage have done to incur the wrath of Lord Black?"
His grandfather smirked, eyes coldly watching him. "His...activities..very nearly resulted in the death of one of our House."
Sirius's eyes narrowed, "Who? It must have been someone of great importance. Nothing else would bring you to my home."
"Regulus Black."
"Dumbledore needs children to fight a war. I need an Heir to preserve our legacy." His eyes bored into Sirius's own, "Regulus," Sirius froze at his name, "Regulus has already made choices. You will need to make yours soon. But know this, Sirius Orion. There are forces that even gods cannot control. We are one of them. Blacks do not bow, my child. Not to Dark Lords. Nor to self-proclaimed saviours. Remember that."

“We still broke the rules.” Regulus shrugs. “Plus, I was biased.”
“You gave me a yellow card!”
“And then I wanted to beat up a player because he bumped into you and hurt you during the match.” His heart swells in his chest at James’ delighted expression. “I would have, if Evan hadn’t stopped me in time. I don’t think giving him a red card would’ve been enough for me.”
James grins so brightly that he puts the sun to shame.
“Aw, Reg, you love me.” The idiot sing-songs.
In return, Regulus rolls his eyes and looks down at the wedding ring on his finger for a split second before returning his attention to James again. “No, I don’t.”
(or, a universe, where football player James and referee Regulus are secretly married but the secret comes out when James suddenly gets hurt during the semi-finals of the World Cup.)
