Stan inspects the lightest specks of freckles, his relaxed expression, and the definitely noticeable sunburn. Kyle will hate it, but Stan thinks he looks adorable with the semi-permanent flush. He lets his eyes close and goes back to the kiss. The smell of sweat and fading sunscreen floods his nose—the remnants of a beautiful day.
Kyle pulls away with a beaming expression, and Stan has no choice but to return it. This is their first summer like this, wrapped in each other’s arms, face-to-face, and in love. Stan’s giddiness makes him want to explode. If he could exude his love for Kyle through every orifice, he probably would. If he could do anything to keep the magic between the two of them forever, he would. He wants to shout to the world that he’s in love. He wants to tell Kyle, bury it into his skull so he never has to question it. His heart still pounding a thousand miles per hour. Just say the words. I love you.
“You have a sunburn,” He informs Kyle lowly. He choked, again, which seems to be a common trend this summer. Is it still too early? It’s so prominent in his heart that he’s sure it’ll crawl its way out of his mouth sometime today.
AKA: The first time Stan tells Kyle he loves him.

He hates his stupid hat, he hates his ugly braces, but mostly he hates how he gets everything. Everyone knows Craig Tucker has a good relationship with his dad, with his sister, with his mom. They’re poor, but they have a home full of love, and he doesn't live on a fucking farm. He’s not forced to play a sport he hates, has friends that all like each other-
And he's in love with someone who loves him back."

Summary
Without warning, Kyle reached forward and brushed back Stan's fringe, replacing the hair with the back of his pale hand. It was ice against Stan's skin, doubly more than the usual temperature difference between them. Vampires typically ran colder and werewolves warmer, and they often found conflict sharing blankets at night due to this biological fact.
“You feel warm,” Kyle stated, his brows pinching with concern.
“Don’t I always?” Stan brushed off, “y’know, cause you’re basically stone.”
“I- well- yes, but you look cold,” tenderly, Kyle allowed his fingers to brush along Stan’s jawline, before finding root on his chin to position his head at different angles for examination.
