"Let the Flowers Speak for Me"
Despite what some rumors may suggest Kakashi is not, in fact, a master of words- especially when it comes to love. At the mere thought of confessing his feelings he tends to blush and stutter worse than a priest taking confessionals from a whorehouse. So as with most things in his life he utilizes gestures instead, finding that speaking with his actions tends to be far easier than with his words.
Unfortunately for him and Iruka both, he's so smitten that said gestures of affection are even more confusing than his words could ever be.
(AKA Kakashi tries to confess to Iruka using the Language of Flowers, but he's so smitten over the Chūnin he gets too shy and tends to leave the flowers in places for Iruka to find with absolutely no note beyond Iruka's own name- so Iruka has no damn clue who's declaring their love to him, and it's driving him a little crazy trying to figure it out.)
