"Well, then we're going to have to add her to the Raiders' WAGs group," Connor pointed out, tapping his phone against the palm of his hand. "Anyway, what's her name?"
Ilya swallowed hard. He wanted so badly to tell the truth.
"Jane," he replied, the lie sliding easily but leaving a bitter taste on his lips.
"Jane. Classic name. Cool," Cliff approved with a nod. "So, is she hot? I know you're all paranoid about privacy and won't show a picture, but, fuck, tell us at least something about the girl!"
The "girl" was gorgeous. The most beautiful person Ilya had ever seen in his entire life. The owner of the best laugh, the warmest and firmest hug, the hands that gave the best head scratches. The man with the most addictive kisses, a breathtakingly sculpted body, expressive brown eyes, and, above all, the most wonderful freckles in the world.
"She has freckles," Ilya murmured, unable to prevent a goofy, lovestruck smile from breaking through his unbothered macho facade.

"Public displays of affection in the workplace?!" Boodram's thick, booming voice echoed from the entrance. The couple laughed, pulling apart only slightly. "Shameless, Hollander. I expected more discretion from a guy as proper as you."
"Back off, Bood. It's gay month. We have priority now," Ilya retorted, sticking his tongue out at the second alternate captain with the maturity of a child.
"You're bi," Shane pointed out with a laugh, rolling his brown eyes and adjusting the backpack strap on his shoulder.
Behind Boodram, the rest of the team began to appear. Troy was wearing the Centaurs' official Pride Night hoodie, while Harris paraded around in his classic denim jacket covered in queer pins—and, this time, completed the look with a vibrant cap that screamed 'Move, I’m gay' in colorful letters. Soon after, Wyatt emerged in the hallway wearing a t-shirt that read: 'I support gay rights & wrongs'.
"Where the hell did you find that shirt, Hazy?" Shane asked, curious.
"He has one of those t-shirt printing machines at home," Troy, Bood, Harris, and Ilya answered in unison. Wyatt flashed a proud smile right after.

He had a fucking husband – couldn’t he see it? It was always so obvious, with Ilya glaring at everyone who even dared to touch Shane and showing off not only his ring but also Shane, as if he was his most precious possession. They belonged together and it was ridiculous for anyone to have a nerve to even ask for a dance. It was only a matter of time before Ilya made his life a living hell, claming Shane in every way possible and maybe more, and then–
Except the man was still looking at him, expextantly, and Ilya wasn’t doing any of the things he should.
Or: Taking Wyatt's advice, Ilya tries to stop being 'too much' for his husband. For Shane, it is an obvious sign of upcomming divorce
(Or: 5 times that Ilya thought he was doing good by distancing himself from his husband and one time Shane proved him wrong)

Carter Vaughan is fucking done with Shane Hollander, it's like Hollander isn't even trying to hide it anymore. He's become snappy, and his orders are harder than ever — though his play is immaculate, he has to admit — and it's clear that he's done with Scott. For no reason.
Well, except for the issue Shane seems to have with that Scott is gay.
Or, Shane gets traded to the admirals after winning the 2016 cup, and the guys are pretty sure Shane is being homophobic towards their captain.
