Summary
A stroke of fate. A onetime chance. An opportunity to remake a pre-written story.
The tale of Medusa has been told several times over. It was as never ending as Ixion on his flaming wheel, going around and around in the same loop of bloodshed. But what the mortals didn’t know was that Medusa was far more than the man-killing, stone-gazing serpentine horror they all said she was.
She was a mother. Through and through, she was a mother. And that would always come before her being a monster.
And even when her blood did wash Gaia’s earthly flesh a garish shade of red, her brood would live on.
An eye for an eye. A head for a head.
Medusa’s child bore the fury of the fallen in the edge of her silvered blade.

Summary
“No,” Athena said harshly. “I have not.”
“Oh?” Medusa placed a black-clawed hand on one of Athena’s shoulders, tracing the faint blue weaving designs inlaid across her armor. “Then for what reason did you summon your little messenger?” She eyed the owl, which had shifted its position onto an overhanging branch. It blinked back at her with those huge, goggle-like eyes of its.
Athena opened her mouth, then closed it a moment later, seemingly cornered. Medusa had her prey right where she wanted her. Her lips split open in a wicked smirk, venomous fangs flashing in the moonlight.
“Are you sure, dear Athena,” Medusa purred, leaning her face in close to Athena’s, her tail slowly wrapping around the goddess’ legs, “that you have not come to sate your desires with me?”
