He made enemies. He made a name for himself in a way he never thought he would— he was just a guy who loved adventure. He wasn’t a hero. He’d never wanted to make the sacrifices that a hero was apparently expected to.

    He did, because that’s what a good person did. And when he’d done it, he called it quits. Because that’s what a person deserved to do.

    Until four years later, at least.
