Summary
When Gildarts told him and Bickslow to stay on the ship as extra back up Freed shouldn't have listened. Even as peace seemed to fall on Tenrou Island he should have followed his gut instead of Gildarts orders, and gone back to be with his friends. The world is full of should haves however, and Freed and Bickslow did not set foot on Tenrou again that fateful day.
Seven years later and they have all but moved on with their lives. Then they get some rather unexpected news.
