All Zoey really knew was that she didn’t want to be an omega. Omegas were, at their core, meant to be desirable. Meant to be wanted. There is an experience that about half of the earth's population experiences, when you meet your soulmate, you will be greeted with several different future versions of yourself. It will usually happen over the course of about a week but that varies from soulmates to soulmates. It only effects one of the soulmates, and where in you experience the most important defining moment in one relationship with your soulmate, then all the versions you meet before will form a council and attempt to advise you for a moment. Billy never thought that he would be the soulmate who ended up the burden, nor did he think he would find them in fucking Hawkins Indiana but yet here he is.

Daella stared at her reflection in the still waters of the riverbank, memories of the girl she was flickering before her eyes.
Her grey eyes were once the colour of steel but now they were a grey so dark they almost seemed black. She once had a brother with eyes like these. A brother who lived and died for her. He tore her from the edge of nothingness, the sound of his name alone bringing her back across the Narrow Sea to where she belonged. To where the grey-eyed girl with the long face of her father belonged.
But she was not that girl anymore. And yet she was.
