He sounds excited, almost loving - breathing right up against his neck. “I know you’re not like the others— There’s something special about you, Viktor.” He can feel a warmth of air against him, hear the swallowing behind him. “I know you’re lonely like I am… Don’t you want a family? Someone to take care of you?”
He’s so confused at first it’s hard to register what he’s even trying to say, but then the next words come out - pressed right up to his ear. “I want you to have my baby.” He feels cold the second the words come through to him, because somehow - somehow this man knows.

Summary
“I uhm… sometimes when I’m overwhelmed I eh.” he feels his face grow warmer. Jayce is staring, probably trying to understand. It’s not exactly helping. He’s not saying anything either, not responding at all - just staring with those big soft eyes. His ears burn. Everything feels so warm. He’s sure he’s mumbling, and he hopes Jayce catches it because he doesn’t want to say it again. He can’t handle repeating himself.
“I have a pacifier.”
It’s quiet for a while before he’s even able to glance up at Jayce again. He just looks overly sympathetic. He’s sure Jayce looked surprised at first, but he wasn’t exactly watching him during the time he said the words out loud. “That’s what you do when you take your… breaks?” He asks, and his voice sounds so soft Viktor feels himself grow even more embarrassed. He lets out a little nod, trying to see if Jayce is going to make fun of him - even though he’s knows he never would.

“I can’t die.”
Viktor quirks a brow, his eyebrows furrow a bit and then he sits up a bit straighter, “What?” He can’t help but laugh, disbelieving. He tilts his head a bit to look at the scar on Jayce’s neck again, right over the jugular. “And you’ve certainly tried, haven’t you?”
Jayce swallows, nods shallowly. Viktor hums again and sits up in his seat again.
“Can I watch? Next time.” Jayce straightens at that, eyes wide as they flick over to Viktor, and then down to his desk, then back up again. “I mean not here and now, obviously. I don’t think you’re that crazy.” He smirks, almost like it’s a dare.

As fate would have it, that beautiful man Jayce bumps into on campus winds up being his new roommate. Viktor is a super genius, just like him, and he's an excellent cook - when he decides to be. They hit it off immediately, and Jayce couldn't imagine living with anyone else. He keeps telling himself he's not catching feelings, until he discovers what Viktor does on his Friday nights to make money...
