It had been four days since Kakashi was involuntarily checked into Konoha’s psych ward. It had been fourteen days since he was involuntary checked into Konoha’s Hospital. He knows this because every morning, the nurses announce the date. Without this, Kakashi would not have been able to articulate how long he’d been there.
Gai is his only visitor. He comes every day. Kakashi imagined the council kept the whole thing quiet and not many people knew the reality of the situation. Maybe they told the village he was attending some important political conference. Or that he had fallen ill. They probably only told immediate family the truth. Except he has no immediate family.
He has Gai though. He's always wanted to have Gai.
