Summary
Other than the sex, she genuinely just enjoys spending time with Vex. She’s a vivacious, engaging person, and Keyleth feels more filled with life and energy around her, either alone or in a group, than she often does only by herself. It’s like Vex draws her out of a shell Keyleth couldn’t even see she’d been hiding in. Stopping their arrangement… Keyleth doesn’t think Vex is the type to cut off their friendship because of it, but she really doesn’t want to take that risk. She’s never been much of a gambler, after all.
And gods, even if she doesn’t mean to, Vex has this knack for making Keyleth feel special. The times they’re alone together, the moments before and after they get hot and heavy, Keyleth doesn’t just feel special, it feels like Vex really cares about her.
In the exact same breath, Keyleth knows that this is also a very important reason for her to stop this while she still has the willpower to.

Summary
Keyleth has to remind herself how to breathe as she sets her keys in the basket on the table, eyes flitting back and forth from Vex in an attempt to be inconspicuous. Heat begins to pool in her gut and she desperately tries to ignore it, hoping to make it through the night like normal, like she’s not even more in love with Vex after knowing how she looks when she comes with Keyleth’s name on her lips.
She shakes her head as if that would shake the thought out of her brain, which it doesn’t, but at least it brings her further back into reality.

It’s a wonder he doesn’t spill any of it as he does, though some of it sloshes very near to the rim of his glass. “Something occurred to me this morning and it just wouldn’t leave me alone, and since it applies to our favorite hunter and weretiger relationship, I figured it prudent, to use Percy’s words, to discuss together.”
“I have a very bad feeling about the direction of this conversation,” Percy grumbles into his drink before taking a sip.
“Does Vex wanting to have sex with Keyleth make her a furry?”
Percy’s eyes widen as he inhales his scotch before it sprays from his mouth and nose in a wheezing fit of coughs.

“You fancy her,” Scar says immediately when Tootsie is out of earshot. Ekko turns to him quickly, shaking her head.
“What? No, I don’t!”
“Yeah, okay,” he says, always non-confrontational.
“I don’t even know her name,” Ekko counterattacks, but it comes out a little sad and pathetic. If she tried to convince Scar that she doesn’t want to know Tootsie’s name, she definitely didn’t succeed.
