Dan competes in pro pool tournaments, and in many circles, is considered a professional and talented player. Phil is a hustler, whose victims often don’t realize they’re being swindled until it’s too late.

Summary

His life that centers around duty and routine is turned upside down when he meets "the princess" he is going to be protecting on the way to the capital. The princess turns out to be a prince and his ocean blue eyes make it hard for Dan to remain loyal to the empire.

"Oh. No. He's straight. I don't even think he figured out why you're here. Or, well, not here, I mean. Why you're in our building." Dan felt his cheeks burning at his accidental implication that Phil had come here for anonymous sex. Not that Dan had no experience with it - much the opposite - but he'd never brought anyone to his place before.
Dan glanced up at Phil as he finished chopping the onion to find Phil smiling shyly back.
