The feverish sheen on the Witcher’s skin, the alert, skittish look in his eyes and the--. He cleared the distance between them in three strides. Geralt retreated until his back hit the wall with a dull thud, but Jaskier would not be deterred. He shoved his face into the crook of Geralt’s neck and breathed in deeply, his hands gripping the edges of the damp cloak draped over broad shoulders. “You’re…”
“I need… need to ask you… for a…” He clenched his teeth, eyes rolling to the ceiling. Two gloved hands lifted to push Jaskier away from his chest; it felt like trying to move a mountain. Not because Jaskier pushed back, but because every fibre of his being wanted to pull the other way. Ask for a what though? ‘Favour’ didn’t quite fit the bill for what he was about to request, and so he stared at Jaskier with those intense golden eyes, while mentally scrambling for a coherent explanation amidst the brain fog.
Geralt and Jaskier get together, fall in love with Eskel, and learn that it's all right to want (and let themselves have) things.

“Witcher biology, bard, keep up.”

Something sets off Geralt's rut out of season. Eskel is left to explain to Geralt's very human bard exactly what a rut is, and why it's a very bad idea to try and fuck their way out of it.

Summary
Jaskier died atop Niedamir's mountain, shattered by the cruel rejection of the man he loved more than anything. Julian walked down the mountain, a man with no music left in him, and was forced to build a new life for himself.
A year after the disastrous dragon hunt, Geralt visits a brothel in Novigrad where, on a whim, he asks for a man. To his shock, he finds himself confronted by a far-too-familiar face.
