Summary
Jack and Maddie Fenton have tried and failed to exorcise the powerful spirit inhabiting the body of their son. To make matters worse, he doesn't even believe he's possessed, and no amount of evidence can persuade him to accept reality. So, they do what any good parent would- they do their best to keep him safe and comfortable while they continue their search for a cure.
If that means keeping him locked down under 24-hour surveillance in an ecto-containment unit while they do that, then... well, it doesn't feel great, but he's their baby boy. And what else can they do?
Until they maybe, kind of, -accidentally- end up in maximum security prison for crimes against metahumanity, and then someone else has to take care of their son without them.
The good news is that the Justice League has a specialist.
The bad news is that Danny can't be cured.

When Match fails to complete his mission to kill Project Thirteen, he takes the unconscious idiot on the road as he flees for his life, defecting from the organization that created and raised him. He makes it less than three hours before his newfound freedom is stripped away and he is taken into Justice League custody.
Match doesn't have high hopes for the future, especially not once he finds out that he's going to be kept in Batman's custody, but he's at the very least starting to think he might be able to avoid decommissioning if he plays his cards right.
Too bad for him that he's never been any good at cards.

And also for a note on canon, why would a copy of a copy be closer to the original than the primary copy? Tim had just wanted Bruce back.
So he decided to make a Deal with the Ghost King.
He'd expected the King to Ask for his Soul. (Tim would manage, after all if Constantine had made it this far, surely Tim could navigate his way through giving away his Soul.) However, he had not been expecting for the King to ask for his hand in marriage.
Danny, for his part in this, had just wanted the Observants to get off his back. As they had demanded for him to get a Bride if he ever wanted to succeeded the throne. (Danny honestly didn't even want the throne, but Vlad had tried to get his grubby hands all over it and Danny liked that even less, so he wasn't left with a whole lot of options.) And besides, plenty of married people never see each other, right? He'd help Tim Drake with his request that Clockwork had honestly been bugging him about doing, Tim got his adoptive father back, and Danny get's the Observants off his back. It's a win-win for everybody, right?
