Tooru defends himself. "Only once a year!"
"Like that makes it any better!" Hajime shoots back.

After graduating high school, Oikawa and Ushijima accidentally fall into an arrangement—a holiday tradition of sorts. They spend their winter breaks together every year back in their countryside town in Miyagi. It is not supposed to mean anything.
Inevitably, hearts get attached, and seven years later, they get broken.

Kiyoomi closed his eyes as he settled against one of the lumpy pillows, pulling the comforter up over his head. The least he could do was try to get some rest while he still could, folding his legs up against his chest and curling his toes inside his socks. He wished he were at home, in his own bed, with Atsumu by his side to scent him instead of just a musky shirt. But he had ended things a month ago, and all the wishing in the world wouldn’t make his dreams come true.
That was the last thing Kiyoomi thought of before sleep overtook him.

There’s something so free and easy in Bokuto’s movements: when he does a jeté en tournant, and how his legs open into a split, his flexibility and strength on full display. Or, when he partners with Shimizu-san, the way he holds her at the waist, lifts her so easily, catches her when she jumps into his arms.

Or else Tooru is sure he would've been strung up and lashed for treasonous speech long ago. Might not be a bad way to go now.
"And yet, you're still here." Eita took a sip of his drink while Tooru nearly chugged his own, just seeing Wakatoshi conversing with prince Sakusa was enough to have his blood boiling. He was a high born snobby piece of shit that only cared about Wakatoshi for the political alliance and he'd been coming around the palace more often at the invitation of the queen.
Oikawa had enough of watching princes Ushijima and Sakusa flirt, he's ready to leave the palace for good.
