Summary
“Good morning, Buck.” The brunette responded softly, “How did you sleep?”
The man before him smirked, “Mmm, I slept great. You really wore me out last night.”
Eddie pulled Buck closer and teasingly whispered, “Oh, did I now?”
“Oh, you know you did, baby,” Buck smirked. “Bet you’re feeling it this morning, hmm?”
“Every time I move, it reminds me of last night, best damn sex of my life, don’t know how we top the wedding night.” Eddie breathed seductively.
“Oh, is that a challenge, I hear, Edmundo? Because I’m always up for a challenge.” The curly-haired man purred.
Or
The morning after their wedding, Buck and Eddie have a little bit of fun.

Summary
“I heard you two were expanding your family! Another little one at Durand. We were so excited when we saw the enrollment paperwork.” She clasps her hands together. “Theo is an absolute joy. Let me show you what he’s been working on.”
Expanding your family.
Buck opens his mouth to redirect — it's a reflex, the correction sitting right there on his tongue. This isn’t the first time they’ve been mistaken for more than two totally platonic best friends who are both men and also raising children together.
It’s right there, polite and practiced: Oh, we’re not actually—
But suddenly Eddie’s hand is on his back. Not his shoulder this time, but lower. A few inches lower than two totally platonic best friends who are both men and also raising children together would justify.
Eddie’s palm presses flat against the base of Buck’s spine, fingers spread wide like he’s anchoring them both to the same spot.
“Thank you so much,” Eddie says. “We’re really proud of him.”
Or: The totally platonic act of raising not just one, but two kids with your straight best friend.

Summary
Eddie is the first one up this morning. It’s not always a guarantee; on mornings they have a shift, Eddie will most often wake up to Buck already in the kitchen, sitting at the table, bleary-eyed with a steaming cup of coffee and a smile. On weekends, he might find Buck at the stove instead, flipping perfectly fluffy pancakes, recipe notebook—fondly referred to as The Big Book of Bobby(‘s recipes)—propped against a bag of flour. Even though he knows almost everything in it by heart.

Summary
"I don’t really have a problem with people knowing about us, I just don’t want people to talk about us yet. That’s a whole other kind of pressure. So, I figure that we try to keep it a secret, but if people find out–”
“Then it doesn’t matter as long as they don’t tell anyone else,” Buck finished for him, catching on.
“Exactly,” said Eddie. There was a hint of mischief in his expression. “Besides... it’ll be fun watching Hen and Chim trip over themselves as they try not to tell each other.”
~
Buck and Eddie are together at last, but Eddie wants to keep it a secret for a little bit while he works out his own identity. As with all good secrets in the 118, everyone knows. The catch? They each think they're the only one Buck and Eddie have told.Bookmarked by Kc626

Summary
Eddie's head snapped up. One of the SWAT officers was pointing at a portable monitor set up near the command vehicle—a live feed from the news broadcast still streaming from inside the school. The camera was shaky, the angle awkward, but it showed a hallway.
And there—*there*—was Buck.
Eddie's breath caught in his throat. Buck was in the middle of the corridor, and he was fighting. Not running, not hiding—*fighting*. Hand-to-hand combat with one of the shooters, brutal and desperate. Buck's face was streaked with blood, his shirt torn, but he was moving with the fierce determination of someone protecting something precious.
The camera zoomed in slightly, and Eddie could see it now—the way Buck had positioned himself. The storage closet door visible behind him. The way every move Buck made was calculated to keep the shooter away from that door, to use his body as a barrier.
"The boys," Eddie said, his voice hollow with realisation. "They're in that closet. That's where he hid them. He's—" Eddie's voice broke. "He's protecting them."
Or Buck is taking the boys to Christopher’s science Fayre when a school shooting starts. We see how Buck fights to keep his boys safe and how Eddie rushes to save themBookmarked by Kc626
