Summary
He looks down, reaching for a tan hand resting on a blanket like one searches for the parachute ripcord on a deep dive against the gravity itself, and squeezes. Lance lets him.
“I don't know how I’d still be sane, if it wasn't for you, honestly,” Keith croaks, voice almost an indiscernible echo in the void.
Lance stares, speechless, lashes fluttering in slow blinks. The world is still spinning, the cosmos is still limitless, countless of atmospheres are breathing, existing, creating new lives right at this moment, and Keith is hopelessly irrevocably dependant on the depthless entirety of the boy in front of him: those are the facts, the undisputable foundations of his rigid existence.
Keith is coping with his new role as a leader. And realizes just how much he and Lance changed in these past few weeks.

Summary
“UGGG.” Keith groaned, “You have a game tomorrow. Go to sleep.”, He scolded himself. He shut his eyes trying to sleep when he heard his phone go off. “Ugh, what now?”, He groaned rolling over and looking at the caller ID. He squinted at the sudden bright light against the darkness of the rest of the bedroom. His eyes widened as a picture of Lance was plastered on his screen. He immediately answered, “Hello?”, he asked curious as to why Lance was calling him so late.
“Oh thank god Keith, l’m so sorry to bother you, but I didn’t know who else to call, I tried calling Hunk, and Pidge, and Allura, and even Shiro-”
“Lance.”, Keith cut off his rambling, “What’s wrong?”
“Keith…”, Lance sounded like he was crying, “I- I really need your help.”

Summary
As the door slid shut behind them, Keith suddenly felt very out of his depth. He wasn’t certain what the next steps should be. It had been a long two years living on a space whale with only Kosmo and his mother for company, and before that he was very much a one and done type of guy. Practical and to the point. With Lance it would be different.
Keith wanted it to be different.

Summary
Accompanied by the scattered applause throughout the ballroom, Keith lifts a slim brown hand in his own and presses a lingering kiss to the palm.
"It’s good to see you, Lance,” he says.
His voice is raw; his face feels naked. Keith’s known for his poker face, but here, in front of Lance, he has no self control. His emotions are spilling over onto his face like tears, too strong to be constrained.
He looks into Lance’s eyes and that suddenly doesn’t seem like such a bad thing.
“Yeah,” Lance whispers, a gentle and devastating smile on his face. He reaches a hand up — soft, Keith notes — and tucks some hair behind Keith’s ear. His fingers trace a gentle path across Keith’s jaw; his eyes flick across his face but inevitably come back to meet Keith’s own, the blue in them impossibly seeming warm toned with the full fond force of Lance’s gaze.
“It’s good to see you, too,” Lance says.
Has Keith mentioned yet that he loves him?

Summary
Keith’s eyes stay trained on his bandages. “You weren’t going to say anything.”
Lance winces. “Was so. I came to you for help, didn’t I?”
Keith looks up finally, eyes flat and unamused.
“I happened to walk into the training room as you were walking out of it,” he deadpans.
Lance wisely keeps his mouth shut.
“Bleeding from your arms,” Keith continues. “At alarming speeds. Near your artery.”
Lance sniffs primly. “I went with you to the medbay immediately.”
Keith glares at him. “I had to yank your arms from behind your back and throw you over my shoulder.”
Lance is well aware. The memory will be burned into his brain for all eternity, scheduled to appear at the forefront of his mind nightly. He’s pretty sure he has the bruises on his hips to prove it, too.
He is being so normal about it.
“Whatever, goober,” Lance says, because whatever. It’s — fine. Lance is going to be cool and not weird about it. He’s never weird about anything.

OR: Keith cleans up one of Lance's injuries. Lance doesn't know how to handle it, so he resorts to what he knows best. It's a miracle Keith hasn't strangled him, really.Bookmarked by Kick_Spn
