As Aspen is tidying up in preparation for they and Gale to leave for Waterdeep they come across a note Gale wrote hastily back when he believed he may need to sacrifice himself to defeat the Absolute, to be delivered after his death to his love.

This is entirely the fault of the Gale server making ourselves sad over the idea of Gale's partner finding the letter he writes to them before he sacrifices himself in the event he ends up not needing to, and all the emotions that conjures.
If you've never had to read the letter he sends to a romanced Tav in the event of sacrificing himself at the end, do yourself a favour and keep it that way, it's So Sad.!!SPOILERS FOR ENDGAME OF BALDUR'S GATE 3!!
