“Okie-dokes.” Kuroba shakes himself, and then turns to wave at the waiting group of suspects and witnesses with a reassuring smile. They stare blankly at him.
“They’re traumatized, Kaito-san.”
“I know. That’s why I’m being nice.”
Shinichi grabs Kuroba’s jacket and starts yanking him toward the group, ignoring his annoyed muttering. In Kuroba’s defense, he’s very good at looking reassuring. It’s just a lot less effective when he’s standing next to the corpse.

Summary
More often than not, the nightmares came.
Some nights it was old classics like finding nothing a pile of dust and a scarf sitting in the snow. One moment everything was fine, and the next… knees deep in the snow as shaking hands trembled towards the red. Pathetic little mix mantra of ‘no’s, ‘Pap’s, and ‘bro’s spilled from his lips.

Summary
The human never killed, but they also never returned. Flowey never regained the power to RESET, but he also never lost his urge to try new things, no matter who it breaks in the process.
Denied the chance to get his old body back, Flowey decided to take one for himself. In the end, he settled on Sans.
Sans' friends come together to get him back. That turns out to be the easy part, because having your body hijacked by an evil flower isn't an experience anyone passes through unscathed in body or soul. The hard part is picking up the pieces of their friend and helping Sans fit himself back together.
Fortunately, he soon discovers that the people in his life aren't the sort of monsters to back down from a challenge.

These minifics will be using the Homestuck shipping quadrants. For those not in the know, that means a ship can be a typical romantic-type relationship (hearts), a close platonic bond dedicated to balancing each participant out (diamonds), a rivalry-based hatemance (spades), or one person interceding between two feuding parties (clubs). Some ships may fit into more than one of these categories.
Tense and viewpoint shift between each minific.

But Papyrus was determined to change all that. Come tomorrow morning when he went to have their daily meeting, he'd convince Sans to make this house his home.
