Summary
Kaveh’s tattoos are praised by celebrities and magazines alike, but somewhere along the path to his success, the meaning bled out of his art. Then, after ten long years, Alhaitham rides back into his life on a motorcycle - rugged, quick-witted, and infuriatingly unforgettable.
With love laced into the ink Kaveh had long since stopped believing in, something beautiful finally begins to take shape once more.
There, standing beneath the stupid Books sign and holding his helmet in one hand... was Alhaitham. He was older and broader - somehow impossibly more attractive - but it was undeniably him.
Kaveh staggered to a halt in the middle of the street and tried to recall how to breathe as he devoured the sight of the same handsome bone structure he had spent years trying to either find or forget - only now more chiseled, more ruggedly defined... more ruinous.
Alhaitham’s eyes, at least, hadn’t changed at all. With a breath that caught audibly in his throat, Kaveh lost himself in the piercing, hypnotic teal irises that he hadn’t seen since their gazes last locked across a study table in the high school library.
“Alhaitham?”

Bookmarker's Notes
Bro this fic was so so so sweet. I loved every second of it. The worldbuilding too? Ive never seen anything like it with tattoo artist Kaveh and Bookshop owner/author Alhaitham reuniting after 10 years of radio silence following their fallout.
The way they learned to live around eachother again almost instently and were both still carrying such strong feelings from their akademya days it worked out so well. The slow build up to their first kiss along the chapters and eventually the long enticipated sex scene that Alhaitham had so carefully controlled his lust for Kaveh at every waking moment to have their first time at the perfect occasion.
Their dynamics here are so well written and thought out. Its actually in character which I just love. No over the top drama in their disputes, no lil poor Kaveh with his big strong man. Just Kaveh himself and Alhaitham finding their missing pieces within eachother and finally being able to become the person they were meant to be. Its beautiful.
Thank you author for such a brilliant piece of fiction. Normally I keep my bookmarks private but I know that you wont see this if I do and I would like to show my appreciation.
As always future me, I would reread this!

Summary
The human was young and healthy indeed — he carried himself well and stood with good posture. Creamy skin, small freckles smattered across his face like a spray of watercolor. The color of his eyes takes Zhongli back to the days when he lived by the ocean; cobalt blue smeared across an artist’s palette, cabochons of sapphire, crystal goblets. An elegant neck gave way to elegant shoulders, tapering down into a fine, lithe waist; long legs that summon a memory of methodically twirling around dance partners in the days when people gathered in ballrooms.
Zhongli stares, and he’s struck with the image of leaving bite marks along the bare flesh of those thighs. Hunger cloyed his mind, and then there was only a singular desire — this creature, no other would suffice — soft, warm flesh, the pulse of blood rushing through the body in pleasure, adrenaline as Zhongli laves at the sides of it's tender throat, sinking his teeth into a cord of veins, a body falling pliant underneath him, the first taste that would roll across his lengthening tongue —
When had he become so imaginative?
He knew right then that he should have turned the young creature away, apologized profusely and sent him home.
