Jing Yuan pauses at the threshold of his front doors, feeling somewhat wrongfooted in his own home and fairly resentful of it. "Could I interest you in some tea?" he recovers enough to offer politely, "I have a lovely jasmine variety that the Yuque just sent over to congratulate us on the victory."
Blade lets loose a string of colorful curses that would surely make the ears of a Zhuming native burn, but Jing Yuan only takes a seat in one of the armchairs, leaning back in a relaxed slouch and unbuckling his bracers and pauldrons, shrugging them off as he meets Blade's glare with a placid expression. "I take it you are not interested in the tea."
"Fuck the tea," Blade roars, "why are you trying to die?"

Kakuzu snaps his neck to the entrance, brows furrowed. There's a young punk at the entrance with slick silver hair and a beer in hand. He turns his head to Konan and she is looking at the young man with a raised brow. She shakes her head at Kakuzu to signify it's not her client.
''Yes.'' Responds Kakuzu, keeping his voice firm and calm. Perhaps this man had mixed up his date. ''You have an appointment?''
''Nope.''

Summary
Hidan painfully rises on his feet, he stumbles, his knees and feet inflamed in pain. He uses a tree to support himself as he moves toward the sound of running water, eager to wash down his meal. Once he locates the small river, he bathes in the fresh water, rubbing dried blood from the countless stitches of his body, and avidly drinking it as well. He catches a fish, and its fate is the same as the hare's.
Now that his basic needs are met, what the fuck happened to Kakuzu? Where the fuck is he? And how much fucking time was he in the hole?

Nur knapp davor entronnen lebendig begraben zu werden, hatten er und Kakuzu beschlossen, sich erstmal einige Tage in einer nahen gelegenen Hütte niederzulassen. Doch je mehr Zeit verging, desto mehr gab Hidan das Verhalten seines Partners zu denken. Nur selten ließ sich dieser blicken, zog sich immer mehr zurück, als hätte ihn etwas schwer getroffen, als würde ihn etwas quälen, als hätte er keine Lust mehr, sich am Leben zu beteiligen. Was war der Grund für sein Verhalten und würde Hidan ihm helfen können?

The truth is that Childe has a secret. The truth is that Childe doesn’t remember much of his time in Liyue. He remembers the boring, seemingly endless paperwork, remembers collecting the sigils of permission that became a crucial part of his plan, remembers the fall of the Geo Archon at the Rite of Descension, summoning the Overlord of Vortex, fighting Lumine at the Golden House, and at the end of it all, finding out that he had been one-upped by Signora, the eighth harbinger.
What he doesn’t remember, however, is everything outside of that. He doesn’t remember how he spent his leisure time in Liyue, what he had for lunch and dinner, how the first Lantern Rite he experienced was like. There are gaps in his memories that he doesn’t know how to fill, periods in his stay in Liyue that feel like endless, dark pits. He had never felt the need to fill the gaps, because all he needs to know is that he had played his part excellently and met all the Geo Archon’s expectations.
But after seeing how concerned the travelling duo looked... he supposes his business trip to Liyue would be a good chance as any to start piecing them together.
And perhaps he could start with this mysterious man named Zhongli.

“Ekaterina, are you really sure this is okay?” Andrei whispers, wincing as the price gets more and more outrageous while they watch their lord bid on a strategic piece of land and house.
“Duh.” Ekaterina shortly answers. “Do you think Master Childe will bid this hard if it’s for himself?”

When Childe didn’t immediately reply, Zhongli raised his other hand to his chin, eyes falling from Childe's as he thought.
"A time loop," he added, pensive. "It is said that Rex Lapis was caught in one during the Archon War, as one of the other gods hoped to capture him there instead of actively fighting him. Since his prowess in battle far outweighed theirs, they chose instead to curse him into a loop of repeating the same day, over and over."
A tap to his lips with one hand. "He was able to break the loop only by overcoming the regret and the guilt that had locked him there. Finish the unfinished business, as it were."
or: Childe can't fight his way out of heartbreak, and he certainly can't fight his way out of a time loop. Living a day of the worst week in his life over and over (with a heart definitely, absolutely not still aching from Zhongli's little lie) was not in the itinerary for his stay in Liyue.
