Summary
Ok, look now. Alex didn’t really care about who Spiderman was, or really anything about the guy. At least he wouldn’t if it didn’t seem like it was Oscar. His best friend. Well, the guy he’s had a big fat crush on for 3 years would be a better way to put it.
tldr: Alex thinks Oscar might be Spider-Man. And he's right?!

The last interaction they had was in Melbourne, when Alex saw him leaving, the screen behind shining down on them as George lifted his P1 trophy high and Alex wrapped him in a hug too tight, too tender, and Oscar could only flee before it became all too much.
Or: Oscar struggles to process those first two races

Nicole pauses. Oscar knows she knows something is wrong. Something's been wrong since Singapore.
“I’ve been thinking about coming back.” His mum takes a second.
“To Australia?” There’s a clear tinge of surprise in her voice, and Oscar can’t help but let out a tired laugh.
“Yes mum, to Australia. I miss you. I miss dad. I miss the girls.” His voice cracks again. Shit.
Or: The Brazilian weekend takes a toll on Oscar, and he finally lets go.
This is a snippet from a longer Maxcar fic I'm working on so if anything seems odd that's why!!

Summary
“Sorry,” Remus was the one to apologize this time. “That was in poor taste.”
Sirius couldn’t do this. Couldn’t hide his feelings, not in front of Remus. The only person he had left.
“No, it’s fine,” he cleared his throat. “The ex-part was what tripped me up. That’s all.”
“Oh.” He looked surprised. Surprised in a way that confirmed that Remus had considered Sirius his ex-boyfriend for the last decade while Sirius…
Well, Sirius had stupidly hoped for a happy ending. But if his life had proven anything to him these last couple of years, it was that there was no happy ending for Sirius Black. Not in this life.Sirius is out of Azkaban and back in his childhood home. He feels more like a prisoner than ever, though. It doesn't help that everyone around him seems to have moved on. Including Remus. So much has changed, but Sirius is still the same. Or is he?

Summary
“What do you want me to do?” Remus says, tiredly. All he wants is to curl up on his bed. Smoke a pack of cigarettes. Get drunk. He can’t stop looking at Harry.
“Remus...” Dumbledore is gentle. Remus hates when he has that tone. Hates that he knows it will hurt. “There is no one else left.”
A bitter laugh escapes him. “So you’ll curse the poor thing with a werewolf for a guardian?”

Summary
James slid to the floor across from him. It came with the easiness of familiarity that rooted itself deep into the body. Memories locked in muscle. They’d sat like this countless of times; a stance reserved for drunken nonsense after a long night out, for confessions, for musings and fears, for pockets of comfortable silence, for nothing but the radio.
This was the James from back then—perpetually sun-soaked, worry-less James—who handed out his little mercies and bathed you in light.

Regulus leaves his parents at 17, finding shelter with Sirius at the Potters' home somewhere along the rocky shores of Devon. What follows are the good years, then the unspeakable ones, and then, inexplicably—like a roach, a true Black—Regulus comes out the other end alive.
He just doesn't expect to stumble into the easy solace of James Potter and his five-year-old son.
