As far as Barty could remember, there was always Evan Rosier.
From the first time they had strapped on their karting helmets as kids, side by side, they had been two sides of the same coin. Sometimes, it felt as if the race was meant to be between the two of them, as though every lap, every overtaking maneuver, every small victory had only one purpose: to bring them together.
When Barty finally got into F1 at the age of seventeen, he'd known it'd be a matter of time before his past caught up to him.
And he was right, for 6 years later, as he cemented his place at the top of the sport, the announcement came: Evan Rosier had signed a contract with Ferrari.
If only it was purely a matter of rivalry...

Summary
This is my first fic ever so bear with me here.
Evan Rosier has never claimed to be a good person per say — It’d be hypocritical to he thinks, how else did he manage to fuck up so bad his father shipped him off to a “Correctional school for troubled youth”. From which just about the only good thing he gained was Barty Crouch Jr.
Barty was everything Evan was not, and Evan was all Barty could never be. Barty who despised his father yet couldn’t manage to escape him no matter how hard he tried.
Both boys yearn to be different, to be more than just beautiful wretched souls.
Or, Evan, Barty, and all of their friends and Co. have enough emotional baggage for a lifetime each and can’t seem to figure anything out (But eventually they do).
Please please please tell me what you think and how we feel about this piece, this is a totally new type of writing for me and I’m so excited for the journey!!
