Summary
A quick fic I wrote at least two years ago where Gordon Freeman from HLVRAI is forced into an arranged marriage with Gillion Tidestrider some time after the resonance cascade.
I personally only listened to the first few episodes of JRWI Riptide when writing this, but I have a friend who is a complete Tide-head and I totally could have beta read but... Hindsight is 20/20.
I think it doesn't really matter since this is a one shot, but I do grieve about it with the knowledge that I could've done more.

Summary
The arrival at Erid is a momentous occasion. Rocky is excited and thrilled. Ryland is overwhelmed. But the reunion is happy, beautiful, amazing.
Or that's what it should have been. Except Rocky gets hurt, Ryland is left to try and communicate with an alien planet, and everyone is scrambling to figure out how to do this. To Grace, this is incredible but also bittersweet - he got Rocky home safely with the taumoeba, now he just gets... to starve. To Erid, this is insane - how did Rocky show up in an alien spaceship with a child???

Ryland Grace is stuck trying to speak Eridian, immediately makes himself sound like a child, and Rocky's world and family scramble to help this strange pebble. Misunderstandings galore, alongside hurt/comfort and angst and fluff.

A silhouette appeared at the end of the alley, thin and walking with an almost limp, or maybe just swaying. The man appeared to be giggling to himself, reaching up and touching his lips. As he got closer, Peter realized there seemed to be blood on his hands. He was wearing a stained and ripped purple suit, with garish clown makeup making him look a ghastly white. His yellow teeth were stained with blood, reflecting off the dim light as stumbled down the alleyway. He was getting closer, and Peter made a split second decision.

Summary
Ryland Grace saved Earth, he saved Erid. He was supposed to die a hero somewhere between the stars.
Or at least he should have, if not for a certain Eridian who has taken a great offense to the short, finite nature of human life. Instead of cherishing the limited time left, Erid reworked the foundation of what was considered scientifically possible—they found a way to turn their resident alien into an Eridian.
But operating a whole new body-plan is not as easy as it may seem.

He paused. “No understand. Is joke, question?”
