There are no clothes soaked in rainwater sticking uncomfortably to his skin, no blaring music drowning him out, no blinding stage lights above him, and blood pooling at his feet, staining his shoes. Instead, cool air blows freely through the vents in their small, dark room, light seeping in from the gap beneath the door. Their comfortable clothes are clean, dry, and most importantly, free of blood.
Instead, Till makes out Ivan’s living, breathing figure sleeping next to him. Peacefully, without worries or fear, he hopes. No longer out of reach. Never will be.
Till wakes up from a nightmare.

It's the night that it rained in Hometown. Kris is walking home a long time past their bedtime when they hear a bird with too much on his mind sing a lonesome song. A story about teens close to tragedy having a nice time for a little while, liking the weird kid from your class instead of the nicest girl you know, taking time away from yourself, shared history, festival plans, birdsong, and how it feels to have someone choose to spend time with you, specifically, on purpose.Bookmarked by L0DESTXR

GENUiNELY REALLY GOOD. i did not expect a silly kerdly fic to actually tackle kris' burdens head on and use it to reframe their relationship with berdly in a way even i hadn't thought of. berdly being just a . normal kid. who's really weird but also dorky and stupid and entertaining, making it so even though kris obviously loves susie and ralsei, their ties to the prophecy adds a layer of complication to their relationships that their relationship with berdly doesn't have. it's sooo cool.
a lot of the gaming references went over my head to be honest (#FakeGamer) but it never deterred me. i loved how nerdy berdly was in this. i feel like the author truly understands him and how his brain works. it's genuinely so peak. the way his dynamic with kris is written is so engaging and amazing and wow wow. it's a breath of fresh air. and the author's style of writing mimics toby's writing which makes it very immersive haha. like i could totally imagine this happening in game.
overall a very good fic. omg. the amount of tropes crammed in here was very enjoyable lol. i love it , S tier fic -

wow wow... a short but very devastating read. huge fan of how akechi's feelings for akira are described. i lovee when people try to tackle his complicated mess of feelings in the most nonsensical, paradoxical way ever. because they really are like that. hating someone because you love them so much. wanting to be so close so you push them so far away. ouhh. so good !!

beautiful fic!!! i've always loved the idea of muhen being akechi's guardian in a roleswap au so this was wonderful to read :) i loveeee swap fics/aus that keep the character personalities the same, i believe they're far more interesting because they let you explore how a character might fair in a different environment or under different circumstances and i think this fic handles that well enough! i get annoyed with roleswap au fics at times due to mischaracterisation but nothing in this fic has turned me away , it's a lovely read.

omg. the way the tension is written is sooo good. the way akira understands goro So Well, understands his mannerisms, his body language, his Mindset. it's so peak... goro's frustration over his fear and, by extension, his care for the well-being of akira. omg. i love this fic.
