Summary
Robby leans back from their hug, heart slamming against his chest as he takes Jacks face in his hands, cradling it with a certain intensity that he knew Jack needed. "Not today." Robby manages to say, his voice quiet in the morning breeze and shaky from years of pent up emotions.
"Not today." Jack repeats back to him, clinging to Robby's hoody and tipping his head till they stand forehead to forehead. Breathing each other in for just a moment, a sliver of time where he didn't have to go back down there to start his shift. Where he could lose himself in Jack Abbot one more time. Robby needed this. He needed this because of what today marked, because of what it brought up. But god he had no idea what today still had in store for him as the sun continued to rise in the distance.

Summary
This is the beginning of what is going to be a fully fledged fic...eventually. This is a litmus test for the public who is as deeply submersed in The Pitt fanfic filth as I currently am, and as equally greedy for even more (Insert Adam Driver MORE meme here). "You must be the change you want to see in the world" and all that. Not fully edited, please leave ideas, feedback, and comments as they come to you. I'm defo going to keep adding to this as little mouse boy and his big boyfriends keep circling the gutter drain of my mind, but any external interest would be appreciated- I need others to hound me into action sometimes.
"He did not, however, miss many other things about home- the bounding timbre of his father’s disappointment, the tough love treatment he got as the youngest and weakest, the blisters on his hands that would bleed and bleed and never truly heal right, and even worse; the sting of his fathers belt across his back, the bite of his brothers’ boots kicking his shins in, the tight pursing of his mothers lips when he proved to once again be wanting, the oppressively pervasive and rotting influence that religion and God had had on everyone in his family and town, save for him."

Summary
What if Dennis and Jack met before Dennis started his rotation in emergency medicine. The two met in a bar, a year before Dennis started his rotation. Dennis was out with friends getting drunk when he bumps into Jack. Who was out trying to drown his problems, after a difficult day. Dennis, drunkenly flirting with Jack, though not doing his best, and Jack flirting back and teasing the blushing Dennis. The two ended up at Jack's home where they slept together. From there they continued to see one another, and officially date, but Jack has kept it private from those he works with. Except from Robby, who walked in on the two when they were at Jack's place.
Now, Dennis has finished his rotations, and is now in his first-year of residency at Pitt. Mainly working during the days, which has helped avoiding anyone discovering his relationship with Dr. Jack Abbott.
(Dennis doesn't speak with his family, and Jack is a widow. Dennis is okay with it. Knowing he won't replace her.)Bookmarked by LDWriter
