As her latest opponent died in a smoky glitter effect, her body froze when she heard a shriek and Mira's worried yell of "Zoey!"
Her braid whipped behind her as her head jerked in the direction of Zoey's scream. Her heart dropped as she saw her band mate on the ground, arms pinned underneath her as a large bear stood above her with a large paw on her chest. And then-
Rumi couldn't remember a time where she felt so worried, so scared. Her body moved on its own, her sword swinging as she paved her way to Zoey. And, as she got nearer, she saw the bear's mouth move towards her friend's head.
Her skin burned as unbridled rage overcame her, and she let out a roar as she slammed into the bear. Her sword fell to the ground as purple legs wrapped around the beast's neck, claws digging into fur and skin. The bear stumbled, and Rumi felt its paw hit her head. A feral growl left her throat, and she lunged forward.
Her teeth met the demon's neck, the bear roaring in pain as she bit down, down, down.

A shiver ran down her spine, mirroring the glow of the patterns dancing across her skin. She held it closer, examining the entrance—the spot designed for… well, for her. It looked tempting, and before she could talk herself out of it, she had already begun dipping two fingers inside.
