“Then he said the sex was mediocre and that it was because of me,” Minho seethes, pacing back and forth across his dorm, phone held up to his ear. “And that we could try again tomorrow.”
On the other end of the line, Changbin seems to be in a fit of laughter. Minho is much less amused, lips pressed into a tight line while he waits for his best friend to console him.
“Oh, that’s brutal,” Changbin cackles. “Well, will you?”
“No,” Minho hisses. “It was one hundred percent mediocre because of him, and we will one hundred percent not be trying again tomorrow.”
or: Minho has what may just be the worst one-night stand of his life. Jisung takes every opportunity afterwards to make it up to him.

It’s the way blue ink stains the palms of Jisung’s hands and the way shadows pool underneath his eyes.
It’s the way Minho is late for work four days in a row because he stays up late with bated breath just to hear Jisung’s soft voice filter through the bedroom wall.
It’s the way Jisung stares, too, through eyes heavy with fatigue, and Minho wonders if he ever really sleeps at all.
It’s the way Jisung slowly becomes a little less hurricane, and a little more human.

Minho blinks. “You’re not suggesting—”
“You’d have a place to stay for free, as long as you want,” Jisung interjects quickly. “Free food, anything you need. I’ll set you up with Hyunjin. My parents—did you see how happy they were for me? My mom already loves you! If we just… just go along with it, a-at least until Christmas, everyone’s happy, right?”
(in which lonely novelist Minho falls for Jisung through a dating app and flies across the country to surprise him for the holidays—only to find out Jisung looks nothing like his photos. Minho lets himself become trapped in a web of lies, somehow growing dangerously fond of his catfisher-slash-fake-boyfriend along the way.)
