Summary
Sect Leader Jiang Cheng has fallen deathly ill.
Jiang Yanli has never been much of a rule breaker, she's always left the honors to her two younger brothers. But the rules are now in her way. The rules created to keep her family safe only continuously serve to do the opposite. In order to save A-cheng's life, Jiang Yanli makes a list of all the things that hinder her, and shatters them with a trained smile.
She'll be the first to admit that falling in love with her brother's doctor was probably not the best idea, but it was the best thing that could have ever happened to her.
A story in which Jiang Yanli learns to trust in herself, and Wen Qing learns to trust in others.

With Wen Ning not able to help Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng help Yanli move back in, Wen Qing offers to take his place and the floodgates of old feeling come spilling back out again.

"I might just," Wen Qing says with a grin. Her cheeks are pink. "But I'm not sure how well everyone would take 'environmental advocacy, focusing on actual cultivation instead of demonstrations for tourists, and redistricting based on sect capacity for interceding on supernatural events' as a proposal. Especially coming from the Yiling Burial Mounds group."
In the middle of yet another unending cultivation conference, Wei Wuxian goes to Jiang Yanli and asks for her help getting Yiling Burial Mounds recognized by the rest of the cultivation world. Striking up a flirtation with his gorgeous right-hand woman, Wen Qing, isn't necessarily essential to an alliance between YunmengJiang and Yiling Burial Mounds, but it's certainly a perk.
