Summary
Ilya loves Shane. He will for the rest of his life, but sometimes he feels like he's stolen something that doesn't belong to him. His feelings intensify when he finds out he's pregnant with their first child—navigating his complicated feelings of parenthood, combined with his own experiences with his abysmal and traumatizing childhood, leads to some problems. Ilya thinks he's too similar to his mama, yet is terrified of becoming like his father. He's maybe being a little too drastic to save his own child from experiencing the same trauma.
Shane is just happy his family is growing, and his happy future is coming to fruition.
