Caitlyn picked one of the flowers out of the soil. Five petals, each one a rich purple, the bloom forming a shape that Vi thought looked weirdly similar to a butterfly, the center of the flower gradating into white and yellow.
"... these are my personal favorite." Caitlyn softly smiled at the bloom, twirling the stem in her fingers, before looking up at Vi with the same expression.
Vi leaned forward to get a better look at it. "Why, do they smell good or something?"
Caitlyn gave her a look of confusion, which slowly morphed into an amused grin.
"You have no idea what these are, do you?"
"I've told you how many times, Cupcake, not a lot of botany down in The Lanes." Vi halted, eyes darting between Caitlyn and the plant she held. "Is there a specific reason I should know?"
OR:
Vi- badass, kickass, tough-as-nails, bloody-knuckled Violet Kiramman- finds out that she was named after a Pretty Flower, and is. A little peeved about it.

Summary
"Vi!? Oh, wow, I haven't seen you in forever!"
The voice was almost drowned out among the din of the brothel, but it was close enough for Caitlyn to hear the woman. Not just the words, but the familiarity. The genuine fondness. The fake, forced, seductive lilt that had been practiced so much it was second nature. She didn't miss the way Vi went rigid beside her, either.
Caitlyn knew that when she turned around, she was going to see one of the escorts. One that, by the sound of it, Vi had visited many times- likely during her pit fighting days. That's... fine. Nothing to get worked up about.
She turned to tell the strumpet to buzz off and find someone else to pester, but Caitlyn felt her entire brain seize up when she saw the courtesan.
Because this woman looked almost identical to her.
OR:
An investigation brings Vi and Caitlyn back to the brothel. They stumble into a familiar face. By which I mean her face is disturbingly familiar.

The bunny leans on a picture frame now and Vi recognizes the photo within. It’s of herself and Caitlyn during her last birthday. Roughly two years after she was broken out of Stillwater. Caitlyn would never let her end up back there. So then why—
A soft hand cups her cheek and brings her attention forward again. As reality fades back in completely, she finds Caitlyn in front of her. The eye not covered by her eyepatch has turned bloodshot and her neck is squeezed between Vi’s fingers. Vi releases her immediately and scrambles backwards.
“No. No no no no no,” she breathes.

After all, it’s not like anyone wants to find themselves in the position of another person being able to give their lover something they can’t. So yes, it leaves her quite pleased to please.
