Summary
Wake up.
Your name is Sam- Wait. Stop. Make corrections.
Your name is Private Ortez- Wait. Stop. Make corrections.
You are Locus. Right. That feels right.
Once, there was a man, not quite as firm in reality as those around him.
Wait. Stop. Make corrections.
It’s not about the man. Flesh and bone have no part in what he is.
Once, there was a man that did not quite obey all those petty rules. His name was Isaac, no- Gates, no- Felix. Right. That feels right.
You did not love Felix, not at the end at least, but you felt towards him all the same. You are not supposed to feel. You are a soldier, you are a weapon, you are a set of armor. You are not supposed to feel.

Summary
“Look who’s talking.” With a scoff, he kicked his legs up on the low table, a hazy cloud looming around his head. “Somebody needs to be the bad guy.”
While he wasn’t wrong, something about him being the ‘bad guy’ rubbed Azriel the wrong way. The Eris he’d seen so far had been hiding behind a mask of cruel indifference. The switch from High Lord to Eris had been sudden and heady, unsettling Azriel every single time. The High Lord was a man with a black heart, the killer of countless, the youngest high general in Autumn Court history. Eris was a forsaken prince, standing in the flames of his old life. Eris was a male hiding from the scrutinizing eyes of the world, holding his head down and trying to get on with his eternity.
Before him was a male reborn, stepping out of the ashes of an old ruined home. This Eris was not the young prince molded to perfection. He was just the last warrior of a dying art.
“You have that face people get when they realize I’m a person.” Eris said.
Azriel blinked slowly at him.
“It’s okay,” he shrugged. “I get it. I forget too. Poor little Eris, never fitting in. Always on the bench, too important to see the world…”

Summary
“This definitely isn’t my universe,” Jason said blankly.
“What the fuck?” Alternate-Jason asked, his crassness clashing with his neat business attire.
“Language, Jason,” Martha Wayne chided with a fond smile.
“Sorry, ma’am.”
—
Or… Jason Todd discovers that he can travel through the multiverse (on top of his usual weirdness, ie, immortality) and chaos ensues.

Summary
"I kill so others don't have to," Bruce states firmly and clearly. This entire situation didn't seem like it could get any more bizarre, what with Bruce sitting in the dark and polishing guns, but somehow it just has, "While you are here you will not kill."
Jason's throat is scratchy and dry with terror, but the insatiable feeling of being talked over and disregarded is a fresh wound. He can't back down from this if he tried, "I've killed. I still kill. Who the fuck do you think you are to stop me?"
Bruce gently sets down his gun, and picks up the blade beside him with practised ease. Jason's blood runs cold when the man wearing his father's face says, "You will die by my hand if you try."
(Jason meets a version of Bruce who has manifested his fears very differently.)

Summary
“The Red Hood has been good for Gotham,” Robin continued. “Crime in Park Row decreased by sixty one percent almost as soon as you showed up, and that’s even taking into account all the crime you commit. Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

Summary
The image sends ice down Soap’s guts as soon as he realizes what it is - as he realizes who it is. There’s a figure bound to a chair, head bent downwards. The golden hair is unmistakably Simon’s. Soap would recognize him in a darkened room. He’d recognize him anywhere, in any shape or form. They’ve known - loved - each other for almost 12 centuries now. He knows every inch of Simon.
