Now he's a human again, and no one knows what to do next. They don't know what they are anymore. Somehow it still feels like a clock is ticking. There's always a clock ticking.

Summary
The point where the canon diverges, in "The Invasion."
Tobias has never had a happy family to come home to at the end of the day. He's always wanted to escape his terrible terrible life. Well, now he can. He met an Andalite in a construction site, and now he can turn into any animal for up to two hours at a time. Or one animal forever. He can fly away and never look back.
It's wonderful to be able to fly, isn't it? It's great to not be trapped in your miserable life. So Tobias stays a little longer in the pool than he intended. But it doesn't go according to plan. It goes very far from the plan.

Summary
Years after the liberation of earth, one of earth’s Animorphs historians posits that when Rachel survived the final battle only to disappear eight months later at the height of her celebrity, it wasn’t suicide. Turns out it was something with a few more feathers and a little more Hava Nagila.
Canon Divergence: Rachel lives, but also a bunch of other people live, some small changes here and there. Brighter in tone than the series but still heavy.
Excerpts and drafts were previously published or distributed as "Four Scenes From A Hawk Wedding" and "Until The Very End Of Me, Until The Very End Of You."

Summary
There was a beast in the mountains, so the locals said. A strange chimera, wandering the wilds of the north, gets taken in by Fort Briggs after it gets injured protecting one of the soldiers. Scout, as she comes to be known, grows to enjoy her time at the fort, growing close with the people there, though the peace can't last.
The fallout that occurs is messy, and Scout, now a prisoner rather than a friend, would do anything to regain the trust of those she's come to care for.
When Drachman forces invade the fort, Scout must find a way to prove herself, or lose her new home for good.

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.
