Mouth dry, mourning slithered onto his tongue when he asked, “Is this what you want, Asherah?”

Summary
Blood smeared across their faces. Lilith’s dusty lavender skin was stained gold, a pure, refined liquid. Eve’s complexion was fairer, gentler but dressed in scarlet from Lilith’s blood. With a hint of silver. Their lips met, traveled to other parts of each other, and found themselves again with talons and claws securing their faces.
"Don't be a stranger," Lilith nearly wept. "Because in spite of everything, you're still you. We wouldn't have you any other way."

But who was Eve now? What was Eve? Blinded by the ignorant, curious woman she met in the garden, Lilith couldn't see the monster she and Life made Eve into. At least, not without accepting her role in humanity's fall.
