The Sage of Truth didn't initially plan on visiting Truthless Recluse over break. But after his student mentioned where he was heading, which just so happened to be in the same direction he was going, he figured it'd be harmless to simply stop by, perhaps learn a bit more about Recluse in the process, right?
And if Sage happened to learn a little more about how highly regarded Recluse happened to be in his hometown as well, then would it be so wrong to remind Recluse how perfect the two of them were for each other?

Summary
‘Okay, one hit, but not with your sword’ is a completely reasonable request for Melinoë to make when accepting Nemesis’ one-hit challenge. If she was not open to her crush wrestling her to the ground and delivering upon her royal heiney a singular slap, she should have been more specific.
