"See this? This is the scratch you left on my car, Max."
Lewis pointed at a large mark, indenting the front of the Ferrari’s nose cone. It almost hurts to look at.
He got closer, slipping his mouth past Max’s ear.
"And now, you're gonna feel it."
With no further warning, Max was pushed backwards, the ruined metal scratching at his back; Max had never felt anything better.
Even lying down, Lewis had to look up a bit at the younger man, praising something new and bigger than himself; a newfound God condemning him from heaven but opening the doors to a brand new paradise just for him and Max.
Max couldn’t tell who was worshipping whom.
Or when a heated race ends up with Max on top of Lewis’s car, underneath the older driver, of course.
