Summary
Okay, so, he didn’t like Chrissy Cunningham. That would be fucking ridiculous. The gorgeous, eternally-out-of-everyone’s-league cheerleader and the super senior burnout? Even without the existence of her hairline fracture of a boyfriend, Eddie wasn’t obtuse enough to daydream about their shared school experience becoming anything akin to a John Hughes film, alright?
or
Eddie and Chrissy lie to themselves.

Hellcheer AU week prompt - Soulmates
When Eddie was thirteen, they'd tested his entire grade for a soulbond. They'd taken a drop of his blood and he'd nearly forgotten about it. He never expected to test positive.
Seven years later, it's still more trouble than it's worth.

Summary
A set of perfectly manicured fingernails slides into his field of vision. Placed gingerly there on the desk beneath them is the rigid green stem of a pink carnation, wound around with a coiled pink ribbon and a white paper tag.
Eddie looks up.
Chrissy Cunningham stands before him in profile, chin ducked down, only looking towards him out of the corner of her eye, wearing a smile that Eddie kindredly recognizes as mischief. Pink heat colors her cheeks, flares up over her ears, only brought into further contrast under the glaring fluorescents.
// Chrissy Cunningham gives him a Valentine. Eddie spirals.

Summary
Somewhere, someway, Chrissy finds it within herself to stop watching the sun-kissed curve of his biceps, probably going freckled later. Elsewhere, like on the soft, masculine yet almost cherubic curve of his pecks, black ink soaks in the sun, risking fade.
// four vignettes of Eddie shirtless through the seasons. The seasons really have nothing to do with it.
